The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boatlift, which has re-connected the Forth & Clyde canal with the Union canal, where once there were 11 locks.

It is fascinating to watch a boat at the top rotating down to the bottom

The waiting area at the top

Not far from The Falkirk wheel are The Kelpies at the Helix Park

These horses heads represent the horses which used to pull the canal barges and are 30m high
