Well Hill, Minchinhampton

Church spire

This house in Tetbury Street has decoration that may have come from a fireplace

At the end of Tetbury Street is a lovely wild flower meadow

Some of the cows on the Common look like this

It was quite windy, but this kite was up

Minchinhampton to Nailsworth

23rd July 2018                                    with the Cotswold wardens      5.5 miles     map of walk

We parked by the church – the common is usually green, but it has been so dry for weeks

We walked into the centre, passing the Old School House

and the church

the barn at the back of the Old Crown pub

to the market place, with the market hall on stilts

into Friday st

then down across fields

to Longfords Mill – former cloth mill, now housing

then we went up to Box village

we liked the hedge

into the woods, where it was cooler

to Nailsworth

Looking over Nailsworth, then we walked up a steep path

to Minchinhampton Common – what can the cows find to eat?

back to Minchinhampton
