Hell’s Ravine – El Barranco del Infierno

The entrance to this ravine is above the old town of Adeje.

Due to the windy weather, this ravine was closed until our last day. You have to wear a hard hat, and the numbers entering are limited, as it is very narrow, and prone to rock falls, in places.

Beehives

The bridge is for the irrigation channel that winds down the ravine

It is unusual to see water on Tenerife

We reach the waterfalls at the end of the ravine. There is little rain, but moisture from mists is collected by the pine trees at the top.

Then we walked back to the town of Adeje, which is on the edge of the ravine

Next – Carnival Parade at Los Cristianos
