We parked by a beach near St Medans Golf Course and walked up hill

to an old graveyard. On the right is a Victorian mausoleum attached to the remains of a chapel which was abandoned in 1638

Looking back to the point where we parked

Otter Memorial to Gavin Maxwell who wrote the book ‘Ring of Bright Water’ in the 1960s

We will walk to the point in the distance at the other end of Monreith Bay

We have reached the point

We returned along the coast
