This is Verity by Damien Hirst. She stands at the harbour and was cast at his Pangolin foundry in Chalford, near Stroud. She is pregnant and represents justice – she stands on law books, holds a sword up and scales behind her. A notice board explains that looking from one side, you can see inside her.

Looking down to the Tunnels Beaches – six tunnels were carved by welsh miners in the 1820s to reach the beaches, with separate areas and tidal bathing pools for men and women
