We stayed in Cologne on the way to and from Austria.
The cathedral is next to the main railway station. It was started in 1248 and finished in 1880 (with a 300 year gap) – it was the tallest building in the world in 1880.

We stayed for one night in a hotel by the Rheingarten with a view to the Rhine
Gross St Martin and colourful houses by the Rhine in the Old Town
This was the fish market in the Middle Ages
