Crich Tramway Village and National Tramway Museum

The tramway village was established in 1959 at a disused quarry. 

Three trams were running on the day we were there

 

Changing the backs of the seats to change direction

At one end of the tramline we walked up to a tower on the top of the cliff. There is a panoramic view from the top

The next stop has lead mining equipment

Then we followed a sculpture trail in the woods

 

Trams through the ages

Trams are renovated in the workshops

A pub has been moved here

There ia a sweet shop and an old forge

The Assembly Rooms came  from Derby

There used to be trams in Gloucester and Cheltenham
