8th October 2017                          Map of walk  5.8 miles

We joined the Dursley Walking Festival for this walk, starting at the market place

The coat of arms on the market hall

This tree was green and red

Looking towards Stroud – we are usually looking from there towards here

The deer didn’t run away, which is unusual

Cam Long Down and Peaked Down

This footbridge used to cross a railway line, but no longer

St George’s, Cam

Looking towards the woods we walked through at the beginning

Lovely clear view up the River Severn – we could see the Malvern Hills

Towards Stroud again

An unusual weathervane

On the way home we stopped at Coaley Peak view point.

Panoramic view over the River Severn

We could see the Sugar Loaf in the Black Mountains of Wales
