We followed ‘Historic Walk Around Hungerford’

Town Hall 1871

Left – 1778.                Right – Wilton House, front early 1700s, but the core of the house dates from the 1500s

c. 1820 unusual ‘rising-sun’ decorations at the windows

Hungerford Arcade – dates from  the 16th century with mid 17th century windows

The Courtyard has Regency bow windows and appears to be built of brick, but when you enter the central passageway you can see the original timber framed building
