Duino to Sistiana

The Passeggiata Rilke is a cliff side path with lovely views over the Sistiana bay. It is just over a mile (or 1.7 km) long, with several view points over the sea.

We walked from Duino Castle to Sistiana

Trip details (if you are planning a visit – check times):

Train from Latisana 8.48am to Monfalcone 9.22am

Buses from Monfalcone are not outside the railway staition (unusual). Turn left out of station, then right downhill  to main road Via Valentinis Gaslini . Bus stop to Duino is on opposite side of road, but first go to Tabac – left along main road, to buy tickets

Bus APT 21 Monfalcone Via Valentinis Gaslini 9.49am to Duino Castle 10.02am

After the walk we caught the APT 21 bus from Sistiana to Trieste (2 an hour)

At the end of the walk (after the camp-site) is an information office. From there go to main road and bus stop is on the right for Trieste
